File Help DB Mission

What am I doing?

As I started my file information database I started noticing a lack of virus lookup by what .exe they use. My latest project is to try to stay on top of the virus and spyware market by being near the top of all the searches for the name of that particular .exe file. What I'm going to do is list the name of what virus is using this file, giving you information about what it does and THEN linking you to the removal instructions in the case of viruses. In the case of spyware I will be posting my own directions on how to remove it.

Why Am I doing this?

I've been doing a LOT of searching lately about viruses and spyware. It can be very hard to find information on .exe's that belong to some rather common viruses. My goal is to fill this need! The only way that I will be able to properly fill this need is with YOUR help!

What can YOU do to help?

The greatest asset to this DB is of course YOUR links! In forums, on websites, anything you can do! The linking method that will help the most is what all of the pranksters use for what is known as google bombing where you can use brute force linkage to put a site like johnkerry.com as #1 for waffles. How do I do this? when linking to information on kazza.exe then simply make a link that looks like this kazza.exe will help the most. Obviously links in any form help, but to really help us with search placement (shooting for #1's) a link like kazza.exe will help the most. As stated above the only way this DB will work is with YOUR help!

If you belong to a media outlet, please send the word out!

Our template for these articles is really quite easy to follow so if you'd like to help expand the DB please post some threads in the forum.

Others do this?

LI Utilities has built a pretty big process library over the years, but has simply become outdated and lack of updates makes it unreliable for your process information needs. My project is to step up where they seem to have left off and expand things to cover even more information. Win tasks by LIU is certainly a great piece of software, but it's not freeware :( The majority of us are true penny pinchers that prefer to do things ourselves, the old fashioned way. Or is that just me cause I'm broke?

Another site with a process library is Neuber, but their listing is really rather small.
