I am surprised by how long some applications take to load on my fairly high end system. Acrobat Reader 6 by default has a ton of crappy plugins that I'll never use loading by default. I recently found a very handy application that will drastically increase the load times of Acrobat Reader by preventing alot of those useless plugins from loading.

This handy application has two different default profiles and the ability for you to pick and choose what plugins you want. I personally used the fast since it is what the developer reccomends. This brought the load times of Acrobat Reader to an acceptable level on my system.

Adobe Reader Speed-Up significantly decreases the amount of time required for Adobe Reader 6.0 to start by disabling most of the least used plugins. Plugins can be freely enabled and disabled, if required.

Currently supports free and full versions of Adobe Acrobat v3.0, v4.0, v4.0.5, v5.0, v5.0 CE, v5.1, v5.5, and Adobe Reader v6.0 and v6.0.1.
